Shaw Real Estate is a privately owned commercial real estate company based in Baltimore, Maryland. The company was founded in July 2015 by Steve Shaw and has grown its portfolio value of $160 million. The Shaw Real Estate portfolio primarily focuses on value-add industrial and office projects, as well as ground up development.

STEVE
SHAW
With over 40 years of experience in the field of commercial real estate in the Baltimore and Northern Virginia markets, Steve Shaw has been involved in all sides of the business. He is well versed in leasing, finance, development, construction and project entitlement. Throughout his career, Steve has negotiated more than 1,000 leases, has been involved with the development of over 8 million feet, and is responsible for the development of more than 2.5 million feet of commercial property—primarily office, light industrial, data centers and bulk warehouses over the last 13 years. Steve graduated from the University of Delaware and completed two graduate programs at the Harvard School of Design. After 26 years with Merritt Properties LLC., he founded his own company, Shaw Real Estate, in July of 2015.
DYLAN
VIACAVA
Dylan brought more than a decade of industry experience to Shaw Real Estate when he joined the team in late 2020. His investment and analytical skills assist us in making sound financial decisions. Dylan’s background is in multifamily investing, where he worked to acquire apartment communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Prior to joining Shaw Real Estate, Dylan consulted for the Maryland Management Company in early 2020. In less than six months, he helped bolster their multifamily portfolio by sourcing three off-market deals valued at over $120 million. Dylan also spent eight years with Continental Realty Corporation, where he was involved in over $1 billion worth of transactions. Dylan earned a B.S. in Finance from Elon University and a Masters in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University.
RYAN
SHAW
Ryan joined the Shaw Real Estate team in 2024. Bringing with him his financial expertise, analytical tools, and ability to foster personal relationships with business contacts, Ryan has become involved in all sides of the business. With a focus on leasing, tenant satisfaction, portfolio management, financial analysis, project management, and sourcing new opportunities. Ryan graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Finance and a master's degree in International Business. Before joining the Shaw Real Estate team, Ryan worked at both Cantor Fitzgerald and Seaport Global Holdings on their respective SPAC (Special Purpose Acquisition Companies) team's.
